Scaremongering

local radio had a so called brexit expert who happened to be a remainer.
He said without a deal the channel tunnel would be closed to us, I don’t know how he jumps to that conclusion, the channel tunnel is a joint enterprise & if the other end is blocked by the French then our end would be blocked by us so we would be left with a very expensive pointless unmaintained white elephant.

Have you noticed that there are hundreds of "opinions" with negative solutions and rumours but very few with anything positive to be said. Everyone is having their own individual situations and very few thinking of the next few years. Less immigration and more border controls therefore less costs on NHS and the bogus "I want help claims". More flexibility in deciding who goes where and gets what, plus no more blindly following the Brussels self made crowd who make the rules and appear not to abide by them - no accounts audited for 10 years as the books do not balance - why not?? as possible 'hands in the till?' Many reasons to leave. The French and Germans are benefitting from the EU rules and situation and many others countries are just about managing to exist with the current rules etc. Makes you think exactly who is running the show - not.
The previous post is an example of the scaremongering that is rife.

I was talking to a so called remainer a week or so ago and he was all gloom and doom and negative telling me how the economy was going to crash and the country would be bankrupt in weeks of our departure amongst.

So I simplysked "How do you know?" He said, "What do you mean?" So I repeated my question and asked how he knew that everything would crash, how did anyone know?

All the negative predictions post referendum were proved to be total b@llocks so why will it e any different now?

As I pointed out, when it was a common market for trade purposes the intention was justified and honourable but nobody signed up to haqve our sovereignty removed and be dictated to in in our everyday lives by unelected t@ssers.

We survived before the EU (In fact we survived very well) and I believe we will survive post brexit.

It certainly shut Mr Gobby Remainer up though. Apparently he was unaware of the original common market treaty.

Sooner we are out of the dictatorship the better, even without a deal if needs be.

The guy also said nobody will want to trade with us, really? I believe most Scandinavian countries can’t wait for us to leave, will the Germans, French, Italians etc really stop selling us cars & food etc? The Saudis will still buy weapons & ammo from us so they can supply isis.

As lee said above there are plenty negative/destructive opinions/comments but I am not hearing these people come up with alternatives/solutions. Reminds me of being at work. I am not surprised Mrs May appears to be more frustrated and defensive by the day.

I still believe that exit is madness from a wide perspective but it is what it is and we have to get on with it.

Don't come running to me when you can't buy uniformly bent bananas and you get a bill for £1000 from your mobile provider for roaming when you get back from holiday.:elboinas:

Bmw have already made noises about pulling out of the UK. That's about 8000 jobs if I remember correctly.

And yet the UK is BMW's biggest export market worth several billion.

The EU is the one draggig its heels because they don't want t loose the hundreds of millions we pump into them every month and these fat politicians such as Kinnock stand to lose millions in the backhanders, expenses and salaries they get paid.

The Dutch I think will not be far behind us (they have wanted out for a long time), The French are becoming less supportive of the EU and there are a few more looking at their long term membership.

The EU is broken and corrupt.

Other countries are now starting to realise.

I am not into politics as all politicians are lying cheating wasters, but the lies have come from both sides. Now lets get out and sink or swim though our own efforts. I personally think we will swim and thrive.

I can't wait to get out of the EU. It's a corrupt snake pit, full of lying, cheating wankers.

My only worry is that someone will cave in and allow the remoaners a second referendum. That said, from some of the things I'm hearing, it would be an even bigger vote to leave if we had another referendum.

Serious question here (and I mean 'serious', I'm not taking the piss): what happens to all the east Europeans that have flooded our country once we're out? Can we throw them out or do they have some sort of bullshit amnesty? One thing I noticed in my years of living in Asia is that the UK Border Force (or whatever the fuck they're called these days) check people into the country but no one is ever checked leaving. I can't remember the last time I cleared immigration leaving the UK and it's the only country in the world that I've visited (and I've been to a few) that you don't clear immigration on departure.

Are you suggesting East Europeans should be thrown out??

The house next door to me was bought by some Spanish twat about 18 months ago. He subsequently disappeared about nine months ago and let the place go to rack and ruin; front and rear gardens were like a jungle and seriously lowered the tone of the street. About a month ago, a bunch of Romanians moved in and are renting the place. The fuckers can't talk at anything less than 10,000 decibels and are generally nuisance neighbours. On that basis alone, yes, kick all the East Europeans out.

One major plus point is that there will be loads of menial jobs available and all the entitled little snowflake millenials will have to get off their lazy arses and get some shit under their finger nails. Wankers.

Any immigrant sponging off the state, boot them out, anybody born here sponging off the state, make them work, there is always something they can do rather than ride down to betfred’s on their mobility scooters.

Heard Andrew Bridgen on RTE radio today. He was asked a few questions about the working of EU border in Ireland.
The silences were embarrassing

Ummmmm.. All the major mobile players have already stated that roaming charges will not be reintroduced !

But bananas could indeed be an issue

That is not what I read the other day. The comments from the providers were along the lines of "we have no current plans to reintroduce roaming charges".

That's a bit like a football club manager getting a vote of confidence from the board!
