Thought they couldn’t get any lower but now they are asking for subscriptions so they can “do their best” to find a home for your pet after you die, good idea? Peace of mind?
They don’t offer any guarantees of finding a home for your pet, they cannot rehome most of the animals they take in so don’t hold out much hope they will rehome your’s.
Does this also mean that because you have paid that your pet will take preference over a cruelty case or a stray?
I stopped donating to RSPCA many years ago when I discovered just what a vile organisation they are.

And a Merry Christmas to you too Derek!!

As an aside, I have just realised that any donations made through Just Giving accrues a rather hefty 5% income for the owners.

They also take 5% of the tax benefit on the donation.

I don't mind anyone making a buck, in fact I am all for it, and the website is a very useful tool......but 5% is taking the Michael
.

My dealings are limited fortunately.
They just see to kill animals at the drop of a hat..singularly unimpressed .............

We do support the PDSA

I had dealings with the RSPCA a bout 18 years ago.
Badly injured dog on the railway one boxing day. I called the on call number that we had to ask them to come out and deal with/put down the animal.
It was very big, and we had no way of looking after it at the scene.

They told me they couldn't do anything and suggested I have it shot.
Never donated or had dealings with them since.

I thought plod deal with this stuff - subject to having a firearms unit available.

Mind you, normally too busy dealing with domestics.

The RSPCA is only interested in big cases that might make the headlines & make them even more money, for that reason they don't get any of my money & never will, there are plenty of other similar charities that do a far better job & actually spend donations on the animals rather than smart uniforms, new vans, mobile displays & expensive advertising

How come every uniformed member of the RSPCA looks like they're a feckin' Field Marshal...?

Yes, plod are trained vets, all are trained firearms officers with captive bolt guns available, and also do tail docking in their spare time.
They also have heated animal hospitals and staff on standby for any injured animals that are taken in by
the officers.

Then RSPCA attend to see if the animals are being attended to correctly.

Murt.

Good to hear.

I thought they spent all their time helping old ladies across the street.
