That happens when people can see who is turning up.

We're due to go soon as it looks like it might be quite a good film, we also have concert tickets to see him next year :band:

Hmmmmm.......bit curates egg. Some good, some tedious...I always get bored by 'dream sequences'. If you don't like Elton's music I would give it a miss, otherwise worth seeing.

Being picky I didn't like the fact that the music was not in sync with Elton's life as depicted, according to the film he opened his iconic show at The Troubador with Crodoile Rock (not recorded for probably four or five years later) but I suppose they had to stick to the stuff that the great umwashed would recognise.

And his finest album, Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy, didn't get a look in. Ironic really, as it was a musical biopic of Elton and Bernies time together.

11 people in the cinema for the 11.20am showing...

Our eldest is birthday treating 'er indoors and me to Srelton' outdoor gig at Hove Cricket. Ground this Sunday 9th June. If he's as good as he was a few years back at the same venue it will be truly memorable - and clearly audible to anyone within a good half mile!

He will be. Amazing live performer.

I am seeing him in Cardiff later this month.

First saw him in 1975 at Tthe Fairfield Halls in Croydon. It was a big night for him as he was in awe of the fact that I had played the same venue the night before, trombone in The English Schools Orchestra.

I was awesome.

What impressed me when we saw him last time was seeing him with the same small band of musicians - including Nigel Olsen - that he started out with all those years ago. And when they played the synergy and ease between them was truly remarkable. And they were all enjoying themselves despite how many times they must have performed the songs they nade them feel fresh. Real stsr qualuty musicianship all round. Only time I've seen that level before was Springsteen and the E. Street band.

Stay out of Wales, Bum Face! We don’t want people like you in your shitty diesels lowering the tone of the place!

Don't know if he is involved thismtime round - the little known percussionist Ray Cooper has supported Elton for years - if he is in stage he is worth watching, absolute lunatic.

Nice chap as well.

His own brother discounts what's portrayed in this film, so dont take it as gospel as with most films.
