But surely (and I don't mean this in a derogatory or patronising way) a blind person would have someone with them if they were roaming the country side, a guide dog wouldn't be able to guide them round every hidden rabbit warren, it can be easy for a sighted person to lose their way in the open countryside let alone a blind person.

''You'd think so would'nt you''
you would'nt believe some of the things we have to take into acount when building new structures (now) in the middle of woodlands/countryside for people with disabilities when it's just took us all our time to get there in a 4 by 4.
We can not just assume the disabled wont go there. In our experience some do attempt to go to areas where even the able-bodied would not go, as long as we don't put barriers in there way that make it even harder for them.

David Blunket used to regular walk a large wood on the north side Sheffield and seamed to find something wrong with them every time, trouble was he was always right (how's that then?), ''that doesn't mean I like him though''

Like I said Derek ''I think you was miss-informed'' I'll check it out. :yo:

back to the Enclosure Act even before my time when the "Nobles" fenced off common land and claimed it as there own. They then sold off some of this land to others for profit so if my reckoning is correct just as if I buy a bike off some scrote who has stolen it the bike is returned to the legal owner when it all comes out and I have lost my money then Derek will have to take down his dyseclic fence and return his land to the good people of the Republic of Barnsley. :neenaw:

So good is our great legal system that you could not be further from th etruth sadly Bill..

Two exanples have happened to me and mine .. The first about 10 years ago..
A bike was stolen.. it was reported as stolen and a crime number allocated..

Insurance pay out by the time the x's were taken out was ?21.00 ! ( It was an old shitter, but still )

3 years later a letter from the DVLA that someone is trying to register the bike.. is it still stolen ?
YES !!!! off to plod who take all the details..
Not a sausage done and the new 'owner' was not even questioned.

Two years ago Darrell had his Ford 4 x 4 stolen..
Three months ago it turned up.. The fookin traveller said sorry, I bought it from a mate with a fucked gearbox.. bought it for scrap value ( Yer right.. book price 7 grand ) Darrell can have it back providing he pays the scum bag about 4 grand..

(Rest assured we are now looking for the vehicle as we know the area.. And bigger nastier people are going to explain why he is a naughty boy !)

But the point is you can just steal a car or a bike nowadays and get away with it quite easily.. and NOT have to return the thing to the rightful owner..

Perhaps I heard a different report but I got the impression that it was Crown land that was to opened up - mostly Forestry commission, M.O.D. etc.

I don't think it is intended to open up farming land to people who wish to take a Sunday stroll. After all farmers get it pretty tough already... some of the poor fuckers don't know where the next Range Rover is coming from

Thank F*ck for that, for a while there I thought I had been ripped off by my solicitor, but we all know that never happens.

I believe his eminence, The Pope was about to join in this thread until he realised it wasn't about who has the 'right to Rome'.
