I have put a pair of R & G heated grips on the MP3
Over the years ( as you can imagine ) I have used and fitted many types of heated grips, some of which might as well have been ice cube related, some got so hot they hurt even through winter gloves, and some are just little more than a pain to use ( The Oxford ones for instance... get to a traffic situation and the bloody things keep switching off cos the voltage sensor is set too high )

First off the R & G ones fitted well. Did not have to beat the crap out of 'em to get them on, and they do not slip around the bars and require glue
The controller is supplied with an assortment of fixings* and has 5 heat settings.
It 'remembers' the last setting it was on, so turn off the ignition ( remove the +ve feed ) and the go off, but next time you turn on the setting will go to what it was ...
*The sticky pad was disappointing .. I have known stronger fly paper !

In use I have found them comfy with bare hands on the lowest setting, and plenty warm enough on higher settings with winter gloves on

The supplied loom was for me MILES too long but for those who want to connect direct to a battery this would probably be a boon
Despite dour warnings I did shorten the loom ( to about 9" ) and as expected all is fine upload_2019-6-14_13-24-50.gif

9 out of 10 ( petty, but I nicked a point for the pathetic sticky pad, which in all fairness many people 'proly would not use )

Bought them from www.jaws-motorcycles.co.uk

I would add Dr Bike heated grips to the recommended pile.

Just ordered one on your score John, (y) hopefully, it'll be here by the time I can actually use the bike as it should, I'm practising getting on and off it at the moment.

The reason I got the MP3 mate.. as I roll to a stop just press the button and it locks.. as soon as I twist the throttle it unlocks ................... no feet down at all
