Quick seat question

My understanding was all the standard factory seats from the bird were the same?

I only ask as some retriming places ask for the current seat to be sent in as an exchange, so I wanted to make sure all the standard seats were the same?

The base used for my custom seat on the 97 carb bike came off a 2004 bike and it fits properly so I guess they are all the same.

all the bases are the same, some tops were different. before you commit have a look at tony archer seats http://www.tonyarcher.co.uk/ did mine and many others, great prices and you can spec it your way.

That's really nice Ian. I have a spare base that I want done, but I'm all the way up in Fife. I think the postage would make it a bit pricey

Ask Herpies or other delivery company how much, before writing it off as too expensive, you can send a car tyre for about a tenner I'm led to believe, and a seat is a lot lighter and easier to pack!!:dunno:

Cost me ?12 to send my seat off for modifying so it's not too silly.
