Hi, just wanted to ask if anyone has fitted a Givi wingrack N151 to a Bird? Not sure if they will clear the indicators or not. Or will I be better fitting the N150's instead? If so, are the indicators easy to wire up? I'm fiiting them with a set of E41n panniers incase that makes a difference.

Any pics of yours would be appreciated. Cheers Andy

Don't know if the boxes will clear the indicators,:dunno: but changing the originals out is easy, a nut to undo, wire's pull out of their push fit housing back of the tail piece, :dunno:

Either will work and take the E41's. but the 151 is meant to be the stronger later version, probably better for the 41's. you'll need to either use the givi indicators or modify the originals. Silverfox(Clive) cut n shut his, do a search and you'll find his thread.
I have a pair of early R1 rears which fit nicely inside, but have added mini indicators to the upper edges of the top plate mountings to act as side repeaters.

Personally not to keen on the E41's. they look ok, and carry loads, but there not the easiest to carry when full as there's no real handle to grab properly, its just a slot. And the upper lid is a bit of a gimmick. Does make a good beer cooler on a rally though, fill it with beer, add water, and you can just get one can at a time through to upper lid. @tu*.
But if I was buying now I'd stick with the E360's

the 41s are too big IMO. For the reasons stated above.

will take picture of my bike from rear, got the wingrack like CB but didn't like those ruddy great big indicators so bought some smoked lenses and refitted the standard ones just had to remove a small amount of the plastic 'webbing' from inside the wingack and they look much better IMO

8rfl@ that's like saying 1 turd looks better than another!!8rfl@ Luggage is functional, it ALL looks shit!!:dunno:

BTW isnt the "webbing" supposed to help strengthen the frame of the wingrack rather than just stuck there to get in the way of the lights?? :dunno:

the small amount removed to allow them to fit is negligable and right on the edge so won't detract from structural effect.......................almost sounds if I know what I'm on about but don't let that fool ya cos I'm fluent in total bollox @tu*

Standard indicators can be 'made to fit' with the 151 but the problem is that they will be hidden from side angle by the cases when cases are fitted. Givi indicators on the 150 do not look as 'cool/smart' but give a lot clearer vision of indicator lamp from side as well as rear angles. 'Safe or stylish' is the question.

Very true, this is why I fitted some mini indicators next to the top plate on the angle brackets that mount the top plate to the wings. They sit under the top box and give a clear indication from the side over the top of any pannier.
