Good history trail Ben!

For some strange reason I didn't like pictures when I was younger, so consequently never kept a record like this. Regret it now.

Good post Ben, I enjoyed looking thru that.

One of my old riding mates had the 175 version of your 125 Honda. I had an Ariel Arrow at that time!!! He was the kiddie then on the modern whizz Honda. I remember riding it a few times and it was so much better than anything else. In fact, I took my test on it 'cos the ariel was such pig in a poke.

You could ride a 250 then on L plates - I think that was 1970, or '71 maybe.

Rob,
Shame you never kept a record of ya younger days on bikes.I'm just waiting for the day when my kids grow up and then I can show them what it was all about.
I cleared out some boxes that I found over the weekend from before I moved to Farnham & discovered a gold mine of my biking history. Even got shot of me sporting the origional bikers mullet:h
I've even got a list of all the other bikes I have ridden that I personally never owned including a trike and a few chops . I'll have to update it now that I've tried Samster's 12R,mi mate pete's ZRX1200 & monkey bike and a few others.

stan the man

you are not capable
the DT 175 brings back some very fond memories...was my first bike.it belonged to my dad,and was his fun bike as he also had a BMW R80 as well..jammy git(having 2 bikes i meant..not owning a BMW),anyway he decided he didn't want to keep the DT anymore and gave it to me....lucky bastid as i was.the only difference was the monocoque [sp] rear suspension as opposed to the twin shocks...just like the one below.my next bike was a yamaha XS 250 custom also below.

Loved the old DT had one o them I bought for a tenner all it needed was a back wheel and the carb cleaned out  .

also had an XS 250 custom (my brother used to love being pick up for school on that even though it looked tiny when we both got on it) for a while and a 400 dream. Still got the XS 750 in various boxes one day it will be a trike I still have to suss out the diff ratio I need.

Would love to have kept a record of all the bikes and cars I've had, but after doing a bit of moving around when I was younger lost most of the ones with the long hair, mullet, mohawk, skin head and oor willy blonde spikes.

like Ben has

I took piccies of all the bikes I've owned - makes great viewing once in a while over a beer to trawl back through and look at some of the old steeds.....from 125 super dreams to GPz550's to ZZR1100's to Daytona Super III......happy days :-:

Ben,
What's happenned to your back yard? It has that "Chavtastic Pikey" look to it. :t You even appear to have the ultimate Pikey accesory; an "Hawk box" attached to a fence post  not to mention the stolen bicycle, dented garage door and abandoned louvre (so 70's) doors!
The garage itself hasn't seen any paint for years and are those paving stones adverse to a bit of steam cleaning? :p

You realy must get the missus to sort it out. :}
