This month's BIKE mag has a test of the bird against ZX-12 / Busa and ZZR-12.

For some reason the blue one tested only makes 135bhp and did no more than 161.5mph. :bang:

They described it as a bike that does everything well but is a bit bland because of that. Who are they kidding? If they'd have tested a red one it would have made all the difference and it would have won the test. :f

161mph - that's appalling..............blue's for hairdresser's!

Incidentally, which bike came out top?

They reckoned the ZX12 was the most exciting ride, the busa and blackbird were kind of equal 2nd and the zzr-12 a bit too squishy and had crap styling.

They only seem to rate fastest = best in mags these days. They don't take into account stuff like comfort and fuel range and build quality which makes a big difference to actual ownership of a bike (as opposed to just going for a blast, then writing about it)

strange that! i had an indicated 164 down the back straight at a track day last year (indicated mind u) and i didnt get out of 4th gear. also last year an indicated 280k in italy two up,three suit cases and a tank bag. mind u there was no wind resistance as the blue paint is sooo shiney!!.

still at least this blue one made it over to sarfend in february.
