Well i'm back from the TT.
A truly exhilarating and very tragic week.
5 dead, bloody freezing and i've realised
2 things.....
1, never get in an outfit again unless at gunpoint, gagged and gaffer taped in.
2, No more camping, it was fookin freezing with high winds and with the tent
rattling and rubbing on the seams it sounded like two rubber balloons pressed
in yer ears and vigorously agitated by a deranged feckin chimp.
Oh!....and by Friday we both came down
with a nasty flu type snot monster bug.
Got home last night approx 11pm and
did an LFT only to confirm positive, did another LFT and that was the same.
This morning another LFT and same result.....Great! I have worked all through
covid and never caught it, bugger off the mainland for 12 days and.......Bastids!
Just e-mailed work to give em the good news, won't be in the rest of the week, cause I feel like shit on a stick.
On the positive side I got to see Mc pint
on his 100th TT start. Got some cracking
pics of which I will bore you lot with later.
Right now, i'm going for another kip....
Catch you landlubbers later...Ooooarrrrrr!

Didn’t realise there were five deaths this year, couple more than i thought.

I have always thought it inevitable that a spectator will cop it one day but happily it hasn’t happened to my knowledge. If it does might that be the end of the TT?

I think a couple of the fatalities were a sidecar out fit, very sad RIP

Apparently 2 sidecar incidents happened at same place I'm told.

3 dead in the sidecars and there’s a call to stop them running as they are inherently unstable.

When the wheel collapsed on Robert Dunlop's rc45 at the turn after Ballaugh bridge back in 94 chunks of it hit my shins and that was plenty close enough for me  might still have a bit of it kicking around somewhere, i will have to look

No mate i wouldn't sell even if i knew where it was, its just one of a few keepsakes of my first visit and a brilliant 9 days before the place was sanitized by the fun police

My 2nd visit in 2000 was pretty crap by comparison as the rules and regs had started to kick in, I said then I wouldn't go back for another TT and I wont
