***PRE-BASH CLIC AUCTION.......ROLL UP***

A little while ago I decided to contact a few of our sponsors, the ones that have not already donated things for auction, to ask just that. Out of all of them I got one reply. Darren Shelton from Shines R Us.

Darren has offered the following......I quote....."I would be prepared to donate a pair of rims to be polished"

So, this is for CLIC, our adopted charity and all proceeds will go to them.

Darren I believe should be at the bash, so requirements/arrangements can be sorted there. Big thanks to him for this. :k

So how will this work??? Well, just bid on forum. Reply to this post with your bid, bare in mind that this job is not cheap, and it is for Charity.

Bidding will close on Thursday the 27th May, the night before the Bash, at 8pm. I would imagine that winner will be obvious, but I will email anyway!!

BUT, if a reasonable and decent amount is not reached then we reserve the right to continue the bidding on the bash weekend.........maybe a few beers will disperse the moths!!!!!

So, over to you generous lot, you know how nice those rims would look all polished up :lick:

Top Idea BIF

cos it gives those people who can't make the BASH their chance to donate to our prefered charity

CLIC is a charity that offers home and hospice support to children who have been diagnosed with cancer and leukemia [as well as their families] so it really is a top "cause"

Having spoken at length with the CLIC people, consider these facts......

1] They need ?8m a year to continue to operate and support these kids and their families

2] 94p in the ? goes directly to the cause - only 6p is used for admin and fundraising

3] They get not one single penny from the Government or the Lottery [despite having put in a Lottery Claim]

4] 80% of diagnosed cases [average betwen boys and girls] will make a full recovery ................................. 20% WON'T !!!

Last year we raised over ?600 for this worthy cause - lets see if we can top it this year?

Just consider the other thread on the forum that links to the IXXRA thread about the very sad death of Graham whilst riding his Bird - his wife [ I understand is still critical in hosiptal]

Dig deep peeps - life, particularly kiddies lives, are precious
