You'll like this Poetic Justice

A driver has been pulled over for using his mobile phone whilst on the move.

He was actually in a business meeting using the video link on his phone whilst he was driving but on this occasion had turned off his video feed so the meeting couldn't see that he was driving.

However he didn't mute it when he was stopped so the meeting heard the Policeman reporting him roadside...including his boss

The Policeman was included in the minutes of the meeting :naughty2: :meparto:

I think that is called poetic justice ;)

I got quite a bit of earache when I was at work as I would not take calls from people while they were driving. Mainly as when I was on my motorised bicycle it was pretty obvious when the driver of the car in front was on the phone as they tended to drift across the road incessantly.

Just saying, like.

Our company policy is that mobile phones must not be used when driving vehicles - even with hands free.

They issue specific guidence that if you receive a call on hands free you should identify that you are driving and terminate the call.

In my role I'm required to deal with this in the airfield environment.

That can mean immediate removal of their airfield driving permit (effectively their driving licence) on the spot.

I've recently had dealings with ACAS and they will not talk to you if you are driving.

One of my USA colleagues will regularly be on a Zoom meeting whilst driving, apparently its OK over there.

I never answer calls while driving, the car is rigged for it but I keep it off and ignore calls etc, if it is important they can call back or when I stop I will call or ignore at my leisure, it doesn't not need to be any more complicated than that

Maybe this is why i have never had a car accident ?
