So all shops now have to charge 10p for providing a plastic bag. Wow, that's really gonna give people pause for thought, innit.

If 'they' want us to stop using plastic bags to help the environment, which I totally support, then make them £10. Or better still, stop making the fucking things!

Bit like three points and £60 fine for using a phone whilst driving. Make it 9 points and £2,000. That'll stop the twats. Oh yes.

Trouble is, we now have a huge stack of 'bags for life' as she always forgets to take them shopping..
Mind you, we are talking about someone who knows where all the switches are to turn the house light on, but incapable of finding the switch thats turns them off again !

Why the feck are they not using Yank style paper bags...?

I have not seen any data to say whether the sale of black bin bags have gone up since the charge was introduced.
We also had a 'stock' of supermarket bags that were reused for many things. They ran out last year and so we now have to buy more black bin bags to use instead.
