Took a trip out yesterday with Mrs L as fancied a day away.
Needless to say, we took the car & had to pay to park at our destination. Not a problem, it was a popular tourist spot so it was expected.
We had three ways to pay the reasonable daily charge of £3.00, download the app to my phone and pay, phone an automated line & pay or pay on-line. We could have used cash but neither of the ticket machines were accepting cash & card was not an option.
Thought about phoning the automated line but judging by the couple standing by the ticket machine, the automated line couldn't understand plain english, they gave up & paid via the web site. So I find a shady spot so I can see the phone screen & after navigating through various screens, including having to register, despite selecting 'visitor' option and having to give my number, email and address, I finally managed to pay.
Took 10 minutes and for the privilege they charge me an extra 20p admin charge.
And they claim 'We make paying for your parking easy'.
