A tad pricey, but the Chinky market will soon solve that.
Got news for you mate the chinks sorted that years ago, they stream out on the first flash then flash as normal after that, had them on my rat & on my rf & still have a couple kicking around somewhere

Audi have/had them.
If someone gave me an Audi I'd have them replaced.
I think they irritatingly stupid.

Plenty of cars and lorries out there. Personally, I like them but I wouldn’t pay extra to have them fitted.

Seeing them in action in the back of an Audi is enough to add that marque to my 'possibles' list next time round.

Yes, I am that shallow:)

I think they are a gimmick that can make them harder to see, especially on a motorcycle.
So IMO not the best place to be putting them.

Not a fan of streaming indicators. Hard enough to see in bright sunlight and even harder when the LED stop light next to them light up. The only saving grace is that they're mostly fitted to cars with DRLs, that dim when the indicators are used, so at least there's a clue there.

My eyes are by no means the best, but there are many people out there whose eyes are good enough to drive that are worse than mine who simply can't see them.

I wasn't legal to have them stream all the time at one point but don't know if the law changed recently, seem to remember some sort of debate when audi (i think) started doing it

The idea is that a moving light catches the attention better than a static one, all the bike ones i know of stream once then flash as normal

I have a feeling that they might still not be legal unless original fitment.

Car & motorcycle manufacturers often get around the prohibition of specific items as a new vehicle is given a "whole vehicle approval" when first introduced.
Each individual bit is not approved individually - the completed vehicle is approved as a completed item.

HID lights were a good example.

The manufacturer gets to introduce something that's otherwise not legal and remains illegal for aftermarket retrofitting.

I believe they are legal according to CE
marking and what existed as what was then part of the EU directives.
We are no longer part of the EU, so they
could be illegal now..Interesting to see
if the oem start failing the UK mot?

I find them distracting.

I would have thought a flashing light was affective.

If some of these twats can’t see a huge motorcycle with running lights from 50 yards, they ain’t gonna see any form of indicators.

It doesn't matter what the 'idea is' they are are still a gimmick.
Surely a flashing indicator is enough!

Have you ever driven behind a car/bike with a flashing brake light? First time you see it operate you think "that catches your eye".
But you get stuck behind one in a stream of traffic, in the dark, for a few miles and you won't think it's a good idea then!

Many modern cars have brake lights that flash under really heavy braking. If they are flashing regularly either the driver is a tear, there is something wrong or they are having multiple accidents.

tear?

There is an 'add on' available to both bikes and cars that does this flashy flashy thing (gimmick)
which runs through a 'routine' of flashes every time the brakes are applied.
The poor driver behind is hit by a high level brake light trying to flash its way into your mind
and it does!
You actually find yourself trying to avert your eyes from the exact place that should be a priority, the car in front!!!

For me, I was stuck in a stream of traffic behind this one car, hoping that at every junction he would turn off but imagine if every car had it!

Flashing brake lights are shit, constant streaming indicators are shit, DRL's are shit, automatic headlights are shit, those pointing on & off when turning DRL's are shit, not having the option of turning the lot off & having normal lights is shit,, automatic wipers are shit and that's just the cars

For bikes most of the above applies + active suspension is shit, combined brakes are shit, antilock brakes are shit anything that takes control from the rider is shit & we already have a whole generation of riders who cant actually ride because of all this SHIT

ITS ALL A GIMMIC & its all shit

I think that about covers it (y)
