Bev was on the phone to her Mother, I could hear the conversation without it being on speaker.
Mil, “ooh, I’ve got a sore throat, your dad says it’s because winter’s nearly here”
Bev, “you need to look after yourself, go see the Doctor”
After a long conversation mil says “well I’m going to go get something for my throat”
Me, “how about a noose”
Silence
Mil, “did he say a noose?”
I quickly responded “I said wear something loose...so it’s not restricting your throat.”
