DLN1965 Saw this when out and about today…didn’t get a chance to speak to the owner. Didn’t sound like a 427 (sounded like an V8 though) and I’m assuming it’s a replica but you may know better. Also no idea if the Shelby signature is genuine.

Seen it a few times on the road, nice to see it being used.

Just spotted this
And you rightly said it has no MOT as it’s a historic vehicle

Many moons ago, I went to the Pilgrim factory in Small Dole, and wanted to see if I fit in their Cobra’s.
At 6’ 4” and a bit chunky …. I fit in the passenger seat fine but drivers seat, the pedals were too close and my feet rested beyond the pedals, and I was too high in the seat.
A quick discussion and suggestions of lowering the pan a few inches , and moving the bulkhead behind the seat ‘should’ gave given me the extra room… But those modifications weren’t cheap !
It wasn’t just Pilgrim cars I had that problem with …

I’m guessing the 3000cc lump is out of a parasitic BMW?

as previous have said …. The V6 Essex was the better choice than a heavy V8

that said my straight 6 3.0 has a higher bhp than the stock rover V8 from the same year …. So maybe similar with the Essex V6 ??

The Rover V8 in standard form was in the ‘couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding’ category in comparative terms for an engine of its capacity.

Sounded pretty good though!
