I have been buying cheap (really cheap!) reading glasses off eBay for years…in fairness I only use them for reading in bed but they are fit for purpose.I've managed to break a pair of my reading glasses, has anyone used one of the online companies which sell cheap glasses
Yarp, I buy cheapo's for work.I've managed to break a pair of my reading glasses, has anyone used one of the online companies which sell cheap glasses
cheap reading glasses from any number of places work ok for occasional use just go in and try them on to find the strength that suits you ... but as Squag says if each eye is very different (like his and mine) they wont do your eyesight any goodI just want a cheap pair to keep in my handbag (along with the kitchen sink)for the odd occasion when I'm out and about
I'm due an eye test at Specsavers in October
I believe opticians are obliged to supply a copy of the prescription when requested.cheap reading glasses from any number of places work ok for occasional use just go in and try them on to find the strength that suits you ... but as Squag says if each eye is very different (like his and mine) they wont do your eyesight any good
I had a set of fold up reading glasses from W H Smith of all places, those were good for just sticking in a pocket but i lost them and they dont seem to have any more
If you have your script getting some online might be a good option and if you dont your optician should supply a copy
They never used to be but they are now.I believe opticians are obliged to supply a copy of the prescription when requested.
i think it is because the NHS pays for the basic eye test. They never used to be but they are now.
They fit to your TV, laptop screen or computer monitor. Saves you having to wear glasses. Why on line glasses? Mine are on my nose
I”m not sure, to be honest. I know that one stroppy bitch with small tits wouldn’t give me my prescription about ten years ago. I’ve since started going to Specsavers and they just hand my prescription to me. I keep the frames I have because I like them (and they were expensive) and have them re-lensed by an online optician.i think it is because the NHS pays for the basic eye test.
That was my argument with Tiny Tits about ten years ago but they weren't (apparently) obliged to give me my prescription unless I bought my glasses from them. I kicked up a stink and was eventually given my prescription. Now, whether she was just trying it on, didn't know the score or she was actually correct in her assertions, I know not. However, these days they just hand over the prescriptions. The prescription has always belonged to the customer and not the optician.
If you have paid for the service and received an invoice + a certified prescription, then it's legally yours. That was my argument with Tiny Tits about ten years ago but they weren't (apparently) obliged to give me my prescription unless I bought my glasses from them.
