And what fun we all had.

Many thanks to Damien for his untiring efforts - not just a bash for us but a while village fun day too! Really appreciate it :)

The weather was great and certainly surpassed the forecast. Great to catch up with those from BIRD that attended plus the other friends from all over.

I gave the 'bird a work out yesterday riding from Carnlough to Bognor Regis. After 504 miles I'm willing to admit that I don't have an Iron Butt and it's not the sort of distance you cover in a day for fun. However to enable me to squeeze in the bash with the other arrangements it does work. I got to have dinner and the evening with my family and that matters after a few days away.

I hope all got home safe and dry.

Many thanks Damien a really excellent weekend even if your Vmax was a bit challanged by the blackbirds.
814 miles in all.
You even managed to get a dry and warm weekend over Ulster while the rest of the island was washed out.

I got home eventually today. Mondays 504 mile slog was to the South coast to spend some time with the family.
Today I had the not so joyous 105 miles home. It was never gonna be great but they just didn't want to leave so departure was later than originally planned.

It took me 2h10 with miles of filtering on the M25.
In the car it took them 3h50!!!!!!

How do people drive the M25 regularly?!?!

Since we're playing Top Trumps with mileages here's mine :
Total was 1,232
The coastal detour added 178 so without it would have been still been 1,054.
