I've never seen the point in personalised number plates.
Driven by ego, arrogance or inadequacy.
Funny ones on the other hand, are always worth seeing. Still waiting to see P3N 1S but I suspect it's been withheld. :(
Not necessarily. I have private plates and I like them but then I haven’t pissed around with the letters or spacing to make them read like something they shouldn’t. One thing I do find them useful for since I’ve had them is that I no longer have the urge to go and buy something new every year because my plates don’t reflect the age of the ve-hickles.

Nah.... I can only think of two reasons to have a personalised plate..

1) Investment. I remember Quentin Wilson once saying that you never lose money on them.

2) To help you spot your car in a car park full of similar looking Beemers. :D

Absolutely agree. Plus I don't look a dick at those parking meters that require you to enter the registration every time I change my car.
