Lots of ”bedtime reading” for me to catch up with.

Big thank you for the tips with owning a blackbird

Certainly not any worse than my current rides

Why a blackbird ?
Not a fan of the styling of zzr14 or hayabusa

Always liked the blackbird, but other toys got in the way of ownership

An told many times ~ its too big for a woman !
Stick to a scooter !!

Done loads of trackdays in the past with my Gsxr750 an various two strokes of yore

But a early carb blackbird is on the cards for now

My yamaha Fz1 is set up as a sportstourer but doesn't quite make it

Terrible throttle settings when new ~ how yamaha let it out the door ~ God knows

But I tweaked it an set it up
Fuelling ,brakes ,Suspension ,etc etc

To what it should have been from the start .

Welcome.

What are you actually asking?

P. S. Ignore andybikeless. He's a bike hating ex-banker who would regret me being able to behave enough to accept the offered role of moderisator.

Actually a helpful an in depth forum full of tips

Certainly more friendly than some sites

End of the day
I'm just looking for a big fast sports tourer
That I can tweak to my requirements
An arrive at my destination unruffled
Something that's not possible with my ducati 749s ~ I've tried to south of France ~ not recommended !

I'm not ready yet for Harleys or triumphs

Last honda was vfr800 vtec
Didn't get on with it

Certainly didn't gel like I did with vfr750 ,or Fz750 I had

Welcome to the loony bin mate..
The help section may be worth a browse, but in the mean time, my advice would be ride it for a few weeks and see what you reckon needs sorting.
It is easy to spend loadsa money on stuff you do not want !

Such cobblers - my better 'alf has a Fazer 1000, (third one, keeps going back to them LOL), has also had Z1000SX, rides my CB1300 and my Bird.
You'll love it when you get it, I'm sure... Just got my third Bird...

Dam it
It's got to match my lipstick !

I don't do the ”Goth” look anymore .
You could always try blue or silver lipstick. Why not spray the 'Bird pink and use pink lipstick? Then again, if you're a burd, you can prolly ride a red 'Bird without being gay.

Don't forget 'beige' the colour that appears on the registration document for 'titanium'Birds.
