My boss came to see me yesterday to ask if he could have my car for the week-end as he needed the extra space - I could have his car as a swap. I have a new Renault laguna estate - he has a Merc CLK320! I mean what would you have done? It's like being asked by Cameron Diaz " would you"?

Pan Clan

Ah - the very friendly club. Being a bit of a heretic ( having a sidecar) makes you very welcome at the meetings. It's bloody difficult to get anybody to talk to you ( it might be me! ) when you have a sidecar attached to a Pan. Very dyed in the wool the Pan Clan - if it's not Mr. Honda's, it's not worth having. Having said all that, I do belong to the club - the magazine is quite good. I must post some pictures of the outfit - I am re-building it at the moment.

I've just received an e-mail from them to say my application has been approved and my welcome pack is in the post !!!! :}

Only really joined to get the magazine and to see what club discounts are being offered. I'm not a 'let's all get together and go touring' type of person, so the ride-out's won't interest me and club nights (in my experience) tend to consist of blokes and their wives standing around a dingy pub extolling the virtues of their 'one-make only' bikes !!!!
It should be interesting.

I have only been on a couple of runs with the club. One went to Eire a few years ago. On the Sunday one of the organisers turned up to lead the run dressed as the Pope! And led the run all day - complete with big hat! :-:

Don't know about being vetted......but the e-mail had a rather 'official' tone to it. Just wait until I turn up for my one and only appearance at the local branch meeting. They are gonna LOVE us !!!!!!
