Well I thought I would make my first post one to introduce me and my newly bought 1999 Cbr1100xx.
I have just bought this for a bargain price and with an easily identifiable paint job which was done by the previous owner by Mean machine in Nottingham.
I have owned it for 5 days now and my initial reservations of it being a heavy cumbersome bike have already been lost along with any want to own a different bike(well an Mv Agusta F4s would be nice for the summerbrok3)
My previous bike was a Suzuki Gsxr 750 srad 1996 custom paint job, and lots of tuning. I decided to get rid of it after replacing the engine once, along with almost everything else on the bike to get something more comfortable still capable of loosing my license many times over and with better known reliability.

When I first saw pictures of it I was a little dubious. But 4 days in to owning it I am getting really good comments from everyone about it and there all wanting to get there picture taken on it :yo:
The last pilot was a fairly sensible bloke and used it for touring duties only.
The paint job was done only 500 miles ago as the black had become stone chipped after the touring duties over the years and after having done he has got older and wiser and decided that after 2 years without use he couldn't keep hold of it any longer.
They are berries from the trees just out of site that are in the picture I am planning on cutting the trees down this weekend to stop it ruining the immaculate paint job.
Although easier to tune I am happy to have a fuel injected to stop me considering putting money in to it tuning it up as I did with my last one.

Ahhh,
dont cut the trees down. Our planet needs everyehing green.Simply cover your bike OR .....you could let the blue berries fall on it and give you a new custom paint job and then you could join the blue brigade.!!:yo:

Keep her lit.

I have seen a few variations of this scheme floating around think some Blackbird owners have got bored of the standard under stated colour schemes and decided to go the completely opposite way.
I think if you want to get noticed though cant get much better than this it probably glows in the dark to boot

Welcome Wuv. You are a lucky person, as I can only get online in short bursts at the moment, and this is one of them.

Want a sweetie, little boy? Eh? Do you?

See, you'd have missed that if I wasn't on top of a Cornish hill right now.

Come on you Hatters
Ok Wuv, welcome to the site and all that. Hope you got real thick skin,,,, your gonna need it h1d1ng2

Cos that has got to be the worst atrocity anybody could commit to a Blackbird. 80's shell suits had more style than that.

I was going to say Fancy schemes don't suit Birds like a another make or model, but I really can't think of any modern day model that it would suit. Sorry and all that.

Nip down halfords and get a big tin o black paint like a good chap :-0)

Hi Wuv, welcome to the birdie nest. Ignor the piss takers at least you've got a bird. Its not my choice of colours, but then its not my parrot either.

hi Wuv

My pink bird had a very similar design in sligtly different colours (purple and yellow!) before being attacked by the pink paint!

Not many liked either of those choices!!!

Have fun with the birdie - while it suits you, you'll have awesome fun on it!!!

Oh dear guys and girls, looks like we might have scared him off. Come on Wuv, don't take it to heart, you'll get used to the mick taking on here.

Just cos some of us don't like it doesn't mean you should take any notice of us.

At the end of the day you can just ignore any that annoy you, and there's always the 'Ignore list' for the buggers that really pi** you off. :-0)

Ye gods they're multiplying.
Are the graphics a kit or something? I did find a american web site some years ago that did track day graphics, I was looking for Honda wings for a set of track day panels. I seem to remember there were some rather dodgy designs available.
