New Sunday Ride out !

Right guys, had to make a few changes but I think its for the better !

Rather than ride down to Glamis Castle, we are now booked in to visit Corgarff Castle instead.

Main reason is that the ride down to Glamis is a bit limited due to the lack of road choice and I wanted to try and make the ride out itself more interesting thatn just a blast down to visit that Castle.

So on Sunday morning we will head off to Corgarff Castle which a lot of you have seen from the road on previous trips up here.

CORGARFF CASTLE

The cost of going in will be paid for so anyone having paid for entry to Glamis will be refunded.

We will then head to the local cafe just down the road for din dins

LUNCH STOP HERE!

Then that will give us time to get back to Fyvie for the Homemcoming Gala and we will be allowed to take all the bikes right up to FYVIE CASTLE and park them there.

The good thing is the roads to Corgarff are brilliant and even with this shorter ride (about 130 miles) its along some great roads.

This is a rough idea of the route, I hope you likee !!

It's really dependent upon the route being clockwise or anti clockwise whether it gets my seal of approval :whi5tl:

Also meant to say, anyone wanting to go inside Fyvie Castle when we get there on the Sunday can do so for only £2.50, which is £10 cheaper than the usual price coz they have reduced the cost for the Gala Day.

I've been looking forward to the McBASH since the middle of last year. A week on Friday is not long at all now.

Thanks for organising this Russ @tu*

OK I'd just like to try and get the Ride out on Sunday organised because last year it was a bit of a disaster (my fault!) so on SUnday I would propose the following, if anyone disagrees just say.

When we all leave the Vale (around 9.00) I will lead off and whatever order we start off in, thats the order we stay in until we get to Corgarff.

I reckon the only things we need to do is keep the guy behind always in your mirrors so if you can't see them drop back till they catch up and the guys in front of you do the same.

No overtaking unless for drastic reason (like someones fallen off!).

Because the roads we will be on are A and B roads I wont be horsing on like last year (apologies to those who suffered!) so we will be taking our time (within reason) and anyone wanting to stop to take photos are free to do so, it we keep to the 'guy in the mirror' rule nobody should be left behind !

Sorry to seem so regimented but this is just to minimise people going astray like has happened in the past and as the group isnt that big it should be easy to keep together, hopefully !

I will give y'all a map on Saturday nite so you can see where the hell we are going !!

On Saturday afternoon I reckon I leave that to you guys because you may have places you want to see that others dont but I can give you ideas on Friday night for anyone wanting hints !

:-0)

Hope this weather is correct !!
