New speed cameras.

I read an article on the local teletext yesterday about the police having some new speed detection -sorry, safety - cameras in North Yorkshire.

Apparently these cameras can take a picture of the rider's face and numberplate (at the same time :dunno: ). Is this accurate, or just scaremongering?

What I want to know is this: If I am wearing a full-face helmet with balaclava or neck roll up to my nose, and a pair of sunglasses how the hell can they work out who I am?

They are going to be using them this weekend on the approach to Scarborough as there is some race meeting, so if you are going, be warned.

has been trying these out. A friend of a firend got caught in a cage. picture was bloody clear.

As for the glasses and mask.............they will just look in the most wanted list :}

They are also working on an air sampleing device that takes an instant DNA image of your farts as you ride past.
