Look at the trouble you have already caused!

You should fit in well:D

Oh, by the way, the concrete in the picture is an absolute disgrace.

The fence isn't a whole lot better.

I'll get on it as soon as the rain stops. Should be about March......

Hi I've just (re) joined. I'm an interloper with a ZZR1100 but hope you don't mind. When I was on the site before I found it very useful.

We'll take anyone except the Hardley Worthit owners. ;)
Ultimately you will progress to a Blackbird....resistance is futile.

I am a spamming C@NT trying to sell fake documents
I supply passports to people so they can come to your county as terrorists, murderers and organised crime leaders who will steal YOU money

My email address is awesome.counterfeit@yandex.com
The company I represent has offices in the Maldives and thinks it is untouchable
I am about to find out neither it nor me has special powers though

Oh what fun... All twenty of his posts deleted.. Left the account open though
His profile now makes interesting reading
And have sent a fairly concise work up of him and the company he represents to NCA in the UK and Interpol in Paris

Just joined up and paid my subscription, so thought it only polite to introduce myself (y)

My name's Gaz and I'm currently "birdless" although hopefully not for long! I've been and looked at 3 today but they just wernt quite what I was after, so back to searching.

I've had a few bikes in my 20 years of riding, with my last one being a GSX1400, which tbh I really liked. However due to circumstances I had to sell, but now I'm back in the market and definitly looking for a bird.

So I apologise in advance for all my future questions and queries, but I look forward to hopefully having some pics of a "New ride" to show off soon

Welcome to the nut house !
You will find most of the questions have been raised over the years and a search might provide you with the answers you need, but please ask away as although most of the members have a caustic wit, they are a pretty helpful lot !

Never worry about mileage.. What is high on other bikes is barely run in on a Bird
Bikes with a couple of hundred thousand miles on the clock are more often than not as good as ones with 10k miles done
The fastest, most economic and reliable are the carb models.. next comes the earlier ( up to 2001 ) EFI models, and slowest and most juicy are the digital dash EFI models of post 2001 era

I don't mind a "nut house" :aaaaa:

I'm probably going to be looking for a carb model or early fi as budget is up to 3k max. I just want a well looked after one. Had a look at some today, one in particular I thought I would end up buying, but on viewing it was just tatty, and had only done 25k too.

Anyone selling a good un here .........:D

Welcome Gaz.
If you're not in a rush then the forum is the best place to buy a well looked after Bird which has had all the right mods done to it.
If you're desperate to buy sooner then £3k will buy you a lot of bike.
As Jaws said, any advice you need before and after buying can be had from the esteemed panel on here. Just be ready for the piss taking that comes with it. :D

P. S. Don't be fooled by Beakers ongoing love affair with all things 4 wheeled, he really was a Bird owner once and can be surprisingly helpful.

Just don't mention golf, gardening, DIY or diesel and you'll be fine.

Welcome.

£1200 is the most I would pay for a Bird, and that only for the pleasure of pushing it over a cliff.

£3k will get you a decent car.

Something to think about.
