Hello from across the pond. I'm Charlie and the XX you are looking at was totalled in 2009 with a bit over 4,000 miles on it. It just happened to be sitting under an oak tree that fell on it and crushed the ars end. Took 6 months to put it all back together but the end result was positive. It now has 30,000 miles on it and runs sweet.

A fine pic of a lovely Bird there and welcome.

Some nice touches so best you take some more detailed pics. More details of what "totalled" means too and what work you've had to do. @tu*

Mind you, there'll be some wise Members along in a moment advocating the delicate and tasteful addition of a fekkin topbox. :wank:

The exhaust outlets were obtained through Nissan and there are resonators inside. The bike is actually down to 492 wet pounds on a certified scale.

Badbird, you've gotta record the sound of that machine and put up the link on here, I should imagine it sounds awesome.

All you could really do to improve it is to stick on a Givi wing rack with panniers and a top box ;-0))

As to recording the sound. I tried that once with a C phone and it was 6 feet away and still over modulated the phone. Oh you could hear it as sick as the new cams sound but the recording was horrible. As to the addition of anything that would create drag such as side bags or a top case their is no chance. The bike spends way to much time at or above 100mph, which is why I ride alone. The clean XX has a C.O.D of 0.0155 and for those that have had their XX in excess of 150 (241kph) for a long stretch you know how smooth it is. Adding anything to create drag would simply take away from this and I don't need the hassles. The bike is flawless and I love it for what it is, the Orient Express. If I want to tour, I've got the Harley....lol

Deffo not playing the game, you cant come on here teasing us with stubby cans and then not let us listen to them.
Wonder if our policky would like them and try and find a "not for road use stamped on them ????
The luggage is a must, or if you dont want to spoil the lines you can do the totally twattish thing and drag it around on a trailer, does save tyre wear
