Looks like one of those peanut-satay things on a stick.

As a matter of priority I would appreciate it far more if the space program money was spent on making Earth better.

Agreed. You could put a lot of machine gun posts along the channel coast for a fraction of that budget.

Its absolutely incredible really, a tiny rock billions of miles away. How can you even think to blast off like they did 13 years ago and hope to hit it. Its a moving target slightly smaller than the Isle of Man...(y)

On the other hand, the spin off of technology from space exploration has been beneficial in the past.

They don't know about Earth yet, perhaps if they spend a few more bob on sorting out here first!!

Fortunately some people on this planet have the vision to expand the boundaries and look to the future rather than whinging and being negative about everything.

Nasa are really pissing themselves at how naive people are, they fooled many by convincing them that they’ve put a man on the moon & now they take a picture of a dodgy snowman & tell people it’s two giant rocks joined together in space.(y)

As I understand it they didn't - the mission objective had been achieved and they decided to push on with what little resource they had left and do something amazing.

China has just landed a rover on the far side of the moon, first time it has been explored in detail. Also provides a natural shield from all the electronic noise generated from earth, allowing a clear run at investigating the depths of the universe from an untainted starting point. Pretty cool stuff.

Meanwhile, Derek has been wondering what to do with his left over sprouts from Xmas.

Best place for a Rover. They should have taken a few more with them.

After the russian "robot" that turned out to be a man in a suit, what're the odds that the chinese have made this up with some slick CGI...?

One thing.. I presume they must have a satellite orbiting too , to get the info back to earth

Apparently so.
Seemingly no radio contact from back of moon so the bounce it off another craft
