1 Can’t remember! I’m 6’ and it’s fine. I can find out and decently photo it but it’s like new.
2 I think it’s was £700 - 750 when purchased. Posted it’s got to be £265 worth.
3 Between Portsmouth and chichester.

No bother if it’s not for you (y)

Because people like Steve and he doesn’t portray himself as Eddie Merckx.....
Or someone who has bought a bike and ridden twice.......:p

"'Ridden' is one of those words that always looks like it isn't spelt proper to me.

Not yet mate, got my eye on one on ebay & goingto look at a few this morning.

Don't buy until you've sat on the same make and frame size that you're looking at. No two manufacturers are the same with frame size, it's a bit like with motorbikes - you sit on half a dozen bikes which have a 32" seat height and they're all different.

Just to confuse even further - some bike makers favour 15", 17", 19", etc...others use the even numbers. The frame sizes don't just affect the available seat height, they also relate to the distance between the seat post and the handlebar stem.
If you buy a bike at the bottom end of the frame size for your height then you might find the the reach to the bars is too short - which can lead to back problems from hunching up.

If that's the MX Comp then it's the same one as I have. Top hybrid...! Looks pristine and a real steal at that price. (y)
I can’t remember ! How would I tell... I think it says Comp on the top frame member behind the headset.

That's the one. I spend most of my time on that one these days.

Want a second one!? Hanging on the garage wall. I genuinely reckon I’ve done less than a mile on it. In my way nowadays.

I would but I'm 6" shorter than you....!

Seriously, though, that's a feckin' bargain. If anyone else on the forum is thinking of taking up (or returning to) cycling and is looking for a decent bike for road and a bit of light trail work, then that is ideal. (y)
I would add at least a ton to the price if I were you, especially if you're including the lights and lock.

Went to look at the second hand orange at £160, it looked tatty but had some good spec stuff on it, only 18 gears though & mechanical disc brakes, the shop owner then said “I don’t think it is a genuine orange” so I said “thanks but no thank you” & walked out.
The Boardman on ebay is now up to £160 & it is a 20” frame so a little too big.
Went to Halfords in Wakefield & sat on a Carrera vulcan 18” frame, I liked it very much even though at £330 it is quite a bit more than I wanted to pay, think I may return tomorrow & see if I can do a deal.

Halfords don't haggle... usually it's a case of extras thrown in. Do you have Cycle to Work available...? You normally save about 30 - 40% on the price with that.
Alternatively have a look at the Carrera Vengeance or the Hellcat.

You could always ask Me! to measure the frame size on his Boardman. It may be an 18"....

Good point about 'Cycle to Work'. Had forgotten all about that, makes buying a bike much cheaper.......

Gone & done it, pick up my Carrera vulcan tomorrow after 4pm, they wouldn’t do any deals as the bike was already reduced by £60.
Thought about the cycle to work scheme but as I will not be using it to go to work on I thought it would not be right.
