Have just signed up for a free months trial with netflix, if I'm impressed I'll keep it however I have got sky q & from what I'm reading sky is not compatible with netflix, if it means that I can only watch on my tablet or phone then I will not subscribe.
Anybody on here found a way of watching Netflix whilst running sky q?

I am pretty sure you can watch it via an Amazon Firestick - but check it out before buying if you go that route!!

I have one plugged into my AV amp, useful for quite a few things.

Looked at the reviews for LG & some had problems that occurred just after the 12 month warranty ran out, the Toshiba has a 5 year warranty & scored 4.7/5 on the reviews plus cheaper than the LG.

There's a reason it's cheaper, Derek. It's all about the picture quality. Currys in Aber leave the top LGs turned off because it makes it difficult to sell Toshibas, Samsungs, Sonys and the rest when potential customers see the difference in picture quality. They either buy the LGs or "Leave it to think about it." They then tend to buy the LG on-line cheaper. That's what they tell me anyway. :D

They're all pretty much the same until you get to the top end of the scale (starting at around £1500) my current tv 50" Samsung plasma is about ten years old & still has an excellent picture, I no longer subscribe to HD as there is very little difference in picture quality.

It's always good when someone tells you what you should have done after the event....

Got an email yesterday from John Lewis, order cancellation notice.
Rang them & asked what was going on, the lady said "Oh, you've missed the delivery date so we've cancelled the order, don't worry you'll get a full refund"
I explained that I ticked a delivery slot that their site showed as available so it was them not me that missed the delivery date.
She apologised & said that as a goodwill gesture they would apply a free of charge express delivery for my next order from them & they would reorder the telly & it will be delivered on Monday 12th, I told her that if the telly wasn't here by the original delivery date they can forget it & I will not be ordering anything again.
I said "have you any delivery slots for tomorrow?" She replied "only for express delivery" I said "ok put it down for express delivery at your expense"
Telly now coming between 2pm & 9pm today.

Our small tellies are 54".. gonna replace them with 60" but VERY difficult to find a model that has analogue tuner as well as digital...

    Google tells us..............

Tenter comes from the Latin tendere, to stretch, via a French intermediate. The word has been in the language since the fourteenth century, and on tenters soon after became a phrase meaning painful anxiety. The exact phrase on tenterhooks seems first to have been used by Tobias Smollett in Roderick Random in 1748

I have to ask......why do you want an analogue receiver?

The antenna system feeds the analogue signal from the Sky box all over the house

    Ah!!

Make the most of it - i don't think the recent Sky boxes have anything other than digital output via hdmi or optical. I remember using an RF modulator to get round a distribution issue for a while.

Sky Q distributes sky wirelessly and different stuff can be watched in different rooms.

    At a price......

I thought tenter hooks were 'Tenter'.. A big frame, and Hooks, that hook things...big frames that cloth was stretched over to dry. In the old days.

That's why it's "tenter hooks" rather than tenderhooks.. Really annoys me that does.
