National anthems

I have always thought the 'UK' anthem was pretty rubbish.

Others are much better. What do you think?

My favourite three in order are;

1 France
2 German
3 USA

Australia was a contender.

I always though Rule Britannia should be our national anthem instead of god save the inbred scrounger

Not a true anthem, it was never written as a football anthem but has been adopted by at least three teams.

Marching on together was written specifically for Leeds United & is the most successful football specific anthem in Britain & probably the World.

The Welsh national anthem takes some beating but if I had to choose another, I like the Italian’s.

+1 for the wops one. When I used to follow F1 it was always the best by far. Ours and the Japanese one must be tied for the dreariest.
The UK national anthem should be changed to "I vow to thee my country".

I always thought the Welsh should have Men of Harlech (the Zulu version). A cracking song to get the blood up.

It's not a national anthem as such, but it's about time that Scotland ditched Flower of Scotland for the rugby. It's a bit pointless singing about giving the English army a drubbing when you're facing the All Blacks...!
Dougie MacLean's "The Gael" would be far better (as made famous in the film "Last of the Mohicans"). No need for words. Makes the hairs on the back of my neck tingle every time I hear it...

I think the Italians should adopt Lindisfarne’s Run for home as their National Anthem.
