As some of you are aware, I keep a small reeftank at home just to pass the time, and I thought you may like to see a pic of it as it is today..

Hope you like it.

Sorry mate... They werent on that pic....

Here are some of them, as there are 8 in there...

The corals do sway around in the currents from the 4 powerheads in the tank(controlled by a wavemaker)and the hermit crbs & turbo(?)snails move about as well.

Still cant get the starfish to come out... Doubled the offer, but he's busy with some crap around the back of the rocks...

cheers,

Rolfy

Yes mate... I get rid of a few each day or two... I use Joe's Juice... Seems to work nicely...But, as you say... Hard work to get rid of...

Sorry Codbasher... Its not Nemo... Its a maroon clownfish & not a Clarkes clownfish...Easy mistake though...

I do have a Dory though... She goes like stink as well...

Thanks for all the nice comments guys..

I do appreciate them.

Cheers all,

Rolfy

Only people who have tried to keep marine tanks will appreciate the hard work involved, I used to keep tropical fish, which is easy compared with marine, I didn't have the confidence to look after a marine tank, after watching my neighbour trying to get it right with his
All credit to you mate it looks good

You mean its not Nemo then? :bang:

Seriously though, I do love a Marine tank, would love one myself but knowing how expensive and difficult to get going, plus the after care, I guess I will have to stick with the Dogs, Cats and Parrot!

Respect to you mate

I used to keep Oscars and Discus (not in the same tank obviously) and found it so relaxing to watch them. Building the various filtration systems was what really interested me.
Oscars are very inteligent and actually recognise there owners. We went on holiday for a fortnight leaving the father in law in charge of feeding, on our return all four of our Oscars were on the floor of the tank, they hadn't eaten for 2 weeks. Upon our return they spotted us in the room and went fookin balistic.

managed to get a pic.....

today, of the tank with all the corals out, and both the powder blue(Dory from Finding Nemo)tang, and the yellow tang...Got rid of a load of the aptasia as well with the wonderful Joes Juice:bow:

The large leather toadstool coral on the left was sulking when I took the last ones, but has now "come out of it", and is eating again...

Just waiting for 3 new pumpps to arrive from Singapore at the end of the week, and it will be like a tidal pool...LOL

Hope you like the pic.

Cheers,

Rolfy
