RIP
I know a few know about my weird bike taste, but recently I got rid of the Crosstourer which although great at what it did )long distance miles in total comfort) I needed something that I could use on the back roads around here during the winter. The CT was far too big and heavy for these roads so I swapped it for a 2011 Transalp 700 !
I had one 13 years ago so knew what they were like but to be honest this one is a vast improvement and although only had it 3 weeks it really is a competent little (isn) bike that is so easy to ride and throw around these roads now its dark and a bit greasy on the commute.
We went 2 up across to Banchory today, first time Janice had been on the back and no complaints whatsoever. Aiming to use it to go over the the West Coast next year, we did that a few years back on the F800GS but we all know how that bike ended up !
I reckon this will be ideal for the single track roads over there.
For those into nakeds, this is my CB1000R which I have just fitted an under tray and tail tidy.
This is a hoot to ride in the right conditions, so not now !!
Hopefully get the odd day during the next few months to go and have a play !
