I live in Gothenburg, Sweden and just bught my Blackbird in April this year.
It's a black 1997 carb with a full Yoshimura RS3 exhaust with a 4-2-1 downpipe. Modified with VFR 800 VTEC handlebars for comfort.
It's a really nice one despite of it's 18 years on the roads. Still sparkling in both the looks as well as power wise.

Welcome and very nice looking bike indeed!

Must be a dream on the swedish roads as in the Uk we have to avoid potholes, gravel, grit, farm vehicles and offcourse the police brok3

Welcome! Enjoy the banter and handbag throwing that occasionally goes on but that aside you'll also find plenty to read and learn about the 'bird.

By the way, you have the best color but red rim tape? Really? 8rfl@

I actually think it looks awesome with the red beading on seat, but maybe thats just the modern way of thinking :lick:

Same as life the bird needed some contrast, as without, it becomes grey. We don't need that right. And the combo of black and red is and has always been great. So I figured, why not. The tape isn't bolted for life.... There's tons of varaitions availabe for the future. :yo:

Looks great. I have the red rim tape waiting to go on the newly powder coated wheels. Just waiting for a red piped seat to come up at the right price. I think it is all helped by the red writing on the lower fairings and the seat fairing.

Welcome !
You are getting away lightly.
Comments like - 'should have tidied the shed' or 'there's a
chip out of one of the boards' usually greets a pic of ones Bird.
And Centaur will supply advice on grammar :-0)

Thanks for the welcome Squag1.
So I'm one of the lucky ones then @tu*.
I guess it won't last forever. I'll keep on posting in my Swinglish and try some low resolution pics where the chip's can't bee seen.

.

I suspect they nice as there isn't much they can fault with the bike, but the most important thing is keeping you sweet in case a coffee stop is ever needed in Switzerland @tu*8rfl@

I am always friendly on here so I am definitely not referring to me :whi5tl:

Alaways keeps my sweets handy whenever I'm in Switzerland .
In Sweden however it's sooo sweet that it's always present, coffeshop or no coffeshop. :-0)
