Like the time I was moving a CBR600FS for a friend on a Sunday. I was thinking bloody Sunday drivers.
I thoght the tank bag was causing the turbulence.
Kept to the 120k on the motorway.
As I was going up the off ramp I leaned forward and spotted the speedo was MPH.
It had no problem doing 120 and there was more in it.

Honestly officer

Welllllll......
It was 55 years ago ( ohh jeeeez ! ) and back then around the east London area it was REAL common to be tugged and checked by plod.. muust have been stopped at least 40 times in the year I had it !
And think of this... Flat out it did an indicated 85 mph, so proly real world 75mph
Compare that to todays offerings.. A good 200 would see it off, and I expect there are sme 125s that could too !
Thinking back, when I got it insured there was no issues raised,,,,, I would have thought that a 250 Bullet might have raised an eyebrow or two :) Days before computers ruled our lives though

That would have about the time when you could ride anything on L plates. I had to make do with a G12CSR Matchless 650 with the bare bones of a chair - for about 10 minutes when I nearly killed myself.
