If you are going for the weekend just turn up at the gates or the hospitality unit and buy your tickets. I suggest you park at the Honda reserved parking area (dont worry if members of your party are on other makes the Frogs are very good and will allow anyone into the secure area especially if you are foreign) just make sure you have all your docs with you including your V5 which you will need when leaving the secure compound. Brits CAN get away without showing the V5 but it makes for an easier exit if you have the correct docs and less raised eyebrows. It isnt like Donny, when the French say secure parking they mean it and will check the ownership of bikes leaving the compound. One BIG plus is the ride back through Le Mans after the races when the streets are lined with members of the public waving at you and wanting to slap your hand as you ride past.
Ive done the GP for the last two years and would recommend it over Donnington. Have you decided where you are staying yet or how you are travelling to France?

Thanks all.

Roy,

We will be getting the ferry from Hull to Zeebrugee mid-week and taking our time heading down to Le Mans. We have booked a hotel about 50 miles NE of Le Mans in Nogent-le-Rotrou for Sat to Mon nights. This is our May tour (7 days off in May, 2 weeks in September) as well so we will spend the rest of the week having a look around Normandy before heading back to Zeebrugge. The route from Nogent-le-Rotrou to the circuit looks staright forward, any advice on what time to get there? We are planning for a 6am start to get to the circuit around 7am.

Thanks

Cheers Paul

Get to the circuit as early as possible on race day to park the bike and stake your pitch/grandstand seat. It was packed last year with OJ racing in the Kawasaki squad. If you have the time whilst touring Normandy pay a visit to the D day beaches and imagine running up there whilst being shot at... very sobering especially Omaha.
