Long or Shorter Sunday Run?

Ok chaps,

Looking for opinions.

Just putting the final touches to the Sunday Ride Out and got a couple of questions.

Usually on a Sunday run we are out all day, covering around 200 miles.

We already have the date with Glamis Castle at Lunchtime but after then would you prefer:

a. A run back through the hills through Breamar, etc stopping off there for a break before getting back to Fyvie around 5.00pm and covering around 200 miles.

or

b. A shorter (but still delightful!) run back to Fyvie where there is a Gala Day in the grounds of Fyvie Castle which we could get back to for around 3.00pm, it finishes at 5.00pm (starts at 1.00pm), may even get us to all go in together on the bikes ! That is all part of the Homecoming Festival HERE

I know a lot of you ride a long way to get here so may prefer the shorter ride on the Sunday and then have a look at the Gala, if not thats fine too, just want to make sure you lot get what you want !!

Also note that anyone wanting to actually visit Fyvie Castle, it only costs £2.50 on that Sunday afternoon as well.

One vote for the shorter ride and the festival here. Might be a bit easier on injured riders!

Let's put the miles in and see Scotland.

The mrs ain't out with me on the Sunday so distance ain't a problem for me.

Well there is actually a few tings on in the village that weekend coz of the Homecoming Festival so hopefully she can find something to stop her getting bored !!

She will work it out on Saturday am sure.

Of course there is a mini Ride out on the Saturday afternoon as well so if we did do the shorter run on the Sunday you won't be missing out.

Not too fussed Russ.

Think it will depend on the weather.

.

Even with a shorter run back its still around 170 miles total so not exactly short, as in short !!

Had an email back from the organisors, they are going to try and find us a parking place so we can all ride in together so we can put a show on for the locals !!

If it's Fyvie Castle, please ask them to tarmac over the gravel before we arrive. Thanks.

Sure yer man Scott could give them a quote, while he is up there @tu*

Either that or they could just scrape of the top 8 inches of gravel!
