Once heard my Dad saying I was an accident, not waiting to happen, just an accident! I've been making his life painful since, does that count?

I’m now in a lot of pain, yesterday afternoon I lifted an empty wheelie bin over a 4 ft wall to save me from walking around it. I’ve tweaked a muscle in my abdomen and it’s giving me grief.

Notice how much sympathy you received.....?

You have a muscle in your abdomen?

I'm impressed.

Not so much an injury but I had a can of expanding foam explode while I was using it.

Dread to think what might have happened if I hadn't been wearing glasses - the glasses went straight in the bin.

Daftest one I had was adjusting the chain on my z250, split pin was in solid & wouldn’t budge to allow access to the castle bolt, decided to use my trusty mole grips, struggled to get decent leverage so I leant right over it with my face about a foot above the offending item, suddenly it gave way & I was left with a pair of mole grips sticking out of my forehead, bled like a stuffed pig.

Nearly killed myself making two cups of coffee....
Bone china mugs, coffee in ,milk in,boiling water in..so far so good.
Wife wanted a spoonfull of brown sugar in hers..
Brown sugar kept in a small earthnware type pot with a lid.
For some reason a decided to spoon the sugar from the pot whilst it was still in the overhead cupboard.
Lid off..carefully lower spoonfull of sugar from overhead cupboard down to the mug..
So far so good....
Holding sugar pot lid twixt finger and thumb went to put it back on the pot (that was still in the overhead cupboard)
Clipped the bottom of the cupboard with the lid...lid knocked out of my fingers...
Lid arced down and struck the top edge of one of the mugs..mug fell almost in half..
depositing scalding contents onto groin are of my trousers.
Me doubled over and screaming holding front of trousers..I then lept up and backwards and smashed
the still open cupboard door of its hinges !!!!
Scalded bollocks ,bleeding scalp whilst lying on the kitchen floor groaning with pain......

All mains electricity disconnected while retiring my second house, grabbed a cable under the floorboards to rip it out and got a rather attention getting 240v.

The moral of the story...make sure someone hasn't tapped into next doors supply before starting.

Looking back I was really, really lucky with that one.

Used to have a colleague called Alex (Steve brooke knows what’s coming) Alex was cooking the breakfast for his control room team, he raised his head & banged it on the bottom edge of an open cupboard door, he was found laid on the floor with his face in the hot frying pan, after a few weeks he returned to work, at tea time he went into town & was run over by a car, when he eventually returned he was asked “are you ok Alex?” He replied “yes, out of the frying pan, into the tyre”

A mate came round to borrow some tools to straighten the foot peg on the bike he had just fell off, I chucked him the shed keys to get it open while I made a brew & returned a few minutes later just in time to see him whack the foot peg with a 4lb lump hammer which promptly bounced back & hit him square in the forehead knocking him cold :bash::D

When I was a little kid, my cousin Angela fell onto an upturned broken bottle while we were out playing. Calm as you like, she walked into her mums kitchen and showed her the hand, blood pissing out everywhere and the bottle embedded in the palm with a couple of bits of glass sticking out the other side.
Her mum promptly fainted and in doing so, cracked her head open on the worktop on the way down - blood everywhere. With the rest of us kids in tow, Angela then walked next door to ask the neighbours to phone for an ambulance. The woman who answered the door promptly fainted at the sight of the blood and somehow managed to bite her tongue on the way down. Cue more blood.

Her husband ended up phoning for the ambulance ...!

In a similar way when I stuck a Stanley knife through my hand & wandered into the kitchen to sort it out with snapped off blade still sticking out & asked my daughter to get the medical kit out of the cupboard, she insisted on trying to help, looked at my hand & promptly fainted leaving me to help her while still bleeding profusely

The mrs came home a few minutes later to find a passed out 16 year old covered in blood, me still bleeding, blood in the sink up the wall & over the cupboard door, I got a bollocking for making a mess :(

Tried to stop the fanbelt from screeching on my MK3 Cortina. Nothing worked.
Decided to rough up the inside run of the fanbelt with some sandpaper...WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING !!!!!!
Lost all of the finger tips to my glove on my right hand and possessed a nice set of black fingernails for sevral months !!!

Fell off the step ladders whilst holding the electic hedge cutters.....
Cut straight through the mains cable on the way down....Good job really as I then stuck myself
in the leg with said hedge trimmers ....And they say that motorcycling is dangerous...
