Well,

Met up with the peeps at Shrewsbury travel lodge, only to find Rhino and a few others state, "Fug itt - I'm goin' 'ome..." !

A little sprinkle of water.......Mm,mmmm

Didn't really get chance to know them! but briefly shook hands.

So, Gypsy (a real 'apt' handle!), Robbo (more on him later), Steathrider & wife, Fat Bert (who is actually slim, but compared to me is a monster of a man!), Trophychap (who was enough to offer my wife and I an afternoon in his hot-tub following the ride to warm up!)

So off we go to Welshpool - the roads are wet, muddy - it's raining, Gill (my better 1/4) is whining about the cold and there was me in AS summer leathers!!!

We only got (at a leisurely pace, I hasten to mention) annout 15 miles and Trophychap and SRider are no longer in my mirrors - as we stopped a bit further on, a motorist tells Gypo that one bike had crashed.

We turned back and was soon upon the incident - TrophyChap laying in the middle of the road, with this lady tending him - and in a gateway on the road, was his P&J...looking very battered...

...so not good then - gladly TC didn't seem too badly hurt and even managed a small smile, as I asked what did he want me to put as the lowest reserve for his boots when I got them on EBay! (the ambulance man had just removed them!)

Onto the cafe as the amublance left, and Gyppo remained on sentry duty awaiting the RAC to show.

All the rest of the group were there that had made their own way to the cafe and it was nice to put faces to a few of the posters here (Taffy, Steve Morris, Centaur and sorry if I missed a few!)

A ghastly ride home - now just starting to thaw!

Thanks for taking the effort to organise the run Gyp - perhaps the next one will have better weather...

Oh - and I took a few more piccies before the die-hard group finally left - Robbo eating (naturally) and Stealth Rider just saying, "No Press!!"

Robbo refused to buy anything from the cafe so he brought his own with him all the way from upt norrrth :f

good looking AND modest
point of order here chaps!!! :t I DID buy something from the cafe!! I bought three coffees, :f and the reason I "brought my own food" was because Fat Bert let Gyppo, Cyclops and myself down as far as "the bacon butties" were concerned!!
nice to meet a few new faces and I hope you will be able to make it to the "Bash" its looking like things are going to turn out a right ol laugh this year!!

Bo Lucks Robbo~~~~

When you arrived at my house I offered to fry you an egg

Wasn't my fault that the only eggs Jane had got in had "Cadburys" plastered all over them!

Thanks for the brew though at BKing!!

Owe you one :)

We ended up on a 200 mile rounder, partly due to weather and partly because 1 of the group needed to be back before 5pm.

Had i been alone i'm sure i'd have stayed. Good to meet 'Nosh & partner' and also to see the rest of the crew.
Sad to hear about Pete & Jen, get well soon guys.
