Well, we have done it now.....

Many thanks to all who turned up for the first joint IXXRA & BIRD meeting for a couple of years...

Saturday started well with glorious sunshine as we all met at the Three Pears resaurant & TravelInn. With peeps turning up just about on time...(makes a change)

After drinks at Badgers, we left for the Cotswolds... made it nearly 3 miles before the group got split up.....Managed to meet up at Stow on the wold before heading for Birdlip view point for a photocall...Nearly made that as well...rofl.... Wish we had got a camera available whilst on the road, as we saw a guy who had lost his trailer up a 3ft dirtbank and into a load of trees....(how the fook did he do it was the question)......

Forgot to mention that we got a little wet thanks to the shower of rain in the middle part of the day :B but it was all soon forgotten after the stop at the Hot air balloon for a nice warming drink.

After that it was back through Gloucester, and up the A38 for the run back to Badgers...

more to follow...

Later that same day........

Things got a touch on the silly side (us ??? never !!!) Whilst in the Marquee (fookin hoooooge gazebo), and after a chip shop tea, Deano Charnley got a few victi....volunteers to strap themselves onto a slimming exersize machine and go for the record of more than level 10 on the strength/pain threshold...Just for your information, the guys managed 8 and the girls 6

Photo evidence is below...

Sunday.....

dawned again bright and sunny... The throng assembled for the ride out to Shropshire & mid Wales... The only no-show was Riktus (who's alarm didnt go off, and who did ring to apologise... You missed a good run mate...)

Off out through Brignorth, Morville, Craven Ames, Knighton, and one of the best roads in the land, from Newtown to Llandrindod Wells... Good fun was had by all I think (and amazingly, we all managed to stay together for it as well.... )

A quick smoke break at "LL" Wells before heading to Hundred house for a bloody good sunday lunch at the Inn of the same name...After that a "brisk" ride back through Leominster and back to Badgers sett in Worcester before all going our seperate ways...

And we all stayed dry as well... :}

Hopefully a good time was had by one and all...

Many thanks all who cam including Eric & Lorraine, mandy & Deano, Taz & Rosie, Wobbly & Jayne, Huw & Dawn, Numb bits, lazzeeb, Shuggie, Chuff, Simon, Gaz, Gypsy & Taz, And anyone else who I have forgotten to name...

In total, we had 22 bikes on Sautrday, and 12 + 1 on Sunday....

A big thanks to Badger & his lovely wife Yvonne and to my other half Jan who put the whole thing together...

Hope to have many more "Joint" ride outs in the future...

Best wishes to all,

Rolfy
