Anything happening in the big bad world this weekend that's worth a visit :dunno:

We're looking for a destination for a nice long rideout.

Thanks, Ian. I know I said a nice long rideout, but I think that may be a bit ambitious for me just yet. I think I should aim at about a 100 mile radius, rather than 200. There's the whole summer to go yet once I've gained a bit more experience.

Also hoping Hunter's going to finish work early enough on Wednesday to get down to the Derby on 2 wheels (well, 2 x 2 wheels) for a change! That's 55 miles each way, with the return after dark

Is a lunp
hastings run on monday,

think there is club racing at brands tomorrow

or get up before the sunrise ride to a big hill in wales or somewhere where there is hills sit at the top and watch the sunrise then ride home again

That's just the sort of daft feckin' idea Hunter himself would come up with.

Now that's more like it   , only maybe ride to Wales tomorrow, find big hill, camp on it or find a nearby Guesthouse, get up only slightly before sunrise, then crawl back into slugbag when big shiny yellow thing is up.

Added benefit of seeing sunset from same hill tomorrow night.

I think we may have a plan here. (Looks like we won't be making Stevenage after all)

Feckin hell Wolfie,

you will need to be up really really really early to get to Wales to get there in time for sunrise...

It was getting light at 0430 last week when I was having a night out at Oswestry (nearly Wales...LOL)

Bugger that for a lark when I am not at work...

Get up when the sun has risen... Nice full English/Welsh/Irish/Scottish Breakfast. Gentle pootle out into the countryside at the legal limits (obviously) Pub lunch, and home for a curry and a beer or two to go with it.

Sounds like a perfect day...

Probably feckin rain though:B dont want to get the new machine wet yet...LOL

Ended up doing M4, Chepstow, Lydney, Gloucester and back home. 119 miles in all, but we didn't set out until 12:30!

Of course this meant crossing the old Severn bridge. I hated that feckin' thing in a cage (got a thing about bridges, me), but on a bike c7u8 c7u8

Spent the entire crossing chanting 'I hate this, I really don't like this Alan, I'm not happy, I really, really don't like this'. I know it's only a matter of minutes, but it felt like forever. Jesus H, I HATE THAT BRIDGE.

Still, nice rideout (apart from THAT BRIDGE) and another one set for tomorrow.

And before anybody thinks of suggesting the Clifton suspension bridge, don't even think about it. No way. Not on your life. Not a snowball in hell's chance. NO!

Anyone been across the bridges at the entrance to Le Harve docks? Now that is a bridge. I am taking a special detour in a couple of weeks when I go to France just to go over it again, its like a roller coaster !!!!!!!!!
