Why dont people have any bloody manners anymore????????

Been crimbo shopping today and the amount of idiots who have no manners is beyond belief. It doesnt cost anything to say a simple "please" or "thank you", so whats the big deal? Are people just simply too lazy or just downright ignorant?
I drum manners into my 6 year old son like theres no tomorrow, but i seriously think im in the minority. Its not just kids though,, its young people right through to miserable old codgers, AND people who are employed to give 1st class customer service. Im so bloody annoyed....

A few personal theories Ms Crozzers.

1. A few years back Mrs Thatcher :bandit: said there was no such thing as "Society" and ever since it has been every man for himself.

2. Men are scared to show manners to women for fear of being branded patronising and sexist.

3. Women don't show any manners because they are too busy trying to be like men.

4. Everyone want's to be in the choir. You can hear them practising: Me me me me me me.

I quite agree with you...

I personally find "old ladies(women)" to be the most ignorant people on earth... If they go through a door in front of you, they let it swing into your face... If you go through before them they expect you to hold it open for them, then complain if you dont(very loudly)... They push in queues in front of you as though its their god given right..

I was at a truck stop in Hampshire the other day, when a coach full of old women came in for their lunch or a tea break... The one behind me in the queue kept bashing me in the arm with her tray... When I asked her very politely to stop it, she replied snottily "what are you going to do about it"??? I informed her i would throw the fookin thing through the fookin window if she did it again, and it would be followed by very quickly by her. When the lady behind the counter heard what the woman had said, she asked all the old women to leave, as the coach hadnt been booked in... She said it was because she was fed up of being treated badly by ignorant old women...

And before you say anything, I know men can be just as bad at times, but I just fookin hit them...It makes me feel better, and gets rid of the pent up anger in me...or as Bert would say

"Calm still waters. Calm still waters" !!!:}

Still, a few drinkies gets rid of it all...then we all start again..

happy Christmas Emma,

Cheers,

Rolfy

You should try being on the other side of the counter

I deal with the public and am constantly amazed at how rude the general public can be

Some people will spend HOURS surfing the net just to save 10 pence

Then pick your brains/ideas and never order

On this side of the counter you get fed up with timewasters and users

There is one particular member of this site who I spend hours emailing regarding a website build using e-commerce

Did I ever earn a penny out of it?

Oh no - they just buggered off - pinched the ideas - someone else earned out of that !

So forgive us.....sometimes we just get fed up with users and losers

Emma, like you Andy and I drum manners into Alex and hes`s one of the few kids I know that says please an thankyou 90% of the time without being prompted.
When I sold the Suzuki, the chap that bought actually commented on how poilte Alex is.
Too many parents are too lazy I think as it takes a lot of hard work and consistency, you can`t get away with the
"do as I say not as I do attitude"

Is a lunp
My kids are taught to treat others as you wish to be treated yourself, be nice and you will be treated nice. be bad towards others and you stand on your own. If others are bad to you first, smile and thank them for the first time second time walk away or hit them. if they are adults tell me and i will hit them.

I like it Wolfie, thats how i was brought up. Be nice and hope you are treated similarly, if they throw it in your face just show them the error of their ways politely, if all else fails JAB EM!!!

I actually know about the incident in CROZZERS is talking about and i'm glad i was nowhere near when it occurred, i have a very short tollerance at present and as such tend to speak my mind more than i used to.

I hate other road users who are not courtious, if i wait to alow someone through a gap or flash a car out of a side road etc and they don't give a courtesy "thank you" with hand, lights or whatever it just gripes me, it costs nothing.
