seriously tho..it is a good cause and if i was localish id attend ..but over 300 miles in the freezing cold to get there at some silly time in the morning is just a little past my point of "giving" im afraid %$fan

have a good day tho and get back safely all that do attend
i know it sounds silly but if they had the toy run in the summer and just stored the pressys till xmas then they would be loads more turning up i guess
8ree! 8ree! 8ree!

and no chuck..we dont need those sort of toys down here in the south :neenaw:

Big thanks to 'CHUCK' for traveling 2 hrs each way to attend the toy run and also to BITONTHESIDE for coming from Chester on the outfit

Really dissapointed with the BIRD turnout :dunno: , fine weather, good cause etc, blah blah......

really good turnout from other clubs, groups and non members. There was some seriously nice kit there today, BITONTHESIDES outfit being one of the attractions, new Triumph Rocket and other weird and wonderfull stuff.

Cheers mate - good day out wasn't it? Peoples faces on the way around were a picture. They were made up when they saw that big teddy hanging out of the chair!
My clutch went again on the run up Deansgate but came back on the way up the M56. Wierd - any ideas anyone? Clutch just goes away - lever all the way back to the bar but then comes back very slowly. I have changed the fluid so it isn't that.
Nice to meet Chuck as well as Rhino - Chuck, how is the cramp? Good of you to come all that way in the cold today. Hope you got home okay.

One of my mates was one of the Police outriders today. They are in contact via the local radio net so that they can cover junctions etc etc. My mate Andy was telling me that they were all pissing themselves on the run about a certain transmission. Apparently the Police Sergeant makes the newest recruit to the bikes do all his fetching and carrying i.e. " get me a brew" - he is called the Knobber! On the run today, which was cold, the sarge said " bloody hell, I can't feel my knob, where's me knob"? Out of the ether came the reply " I'm at the back Sarge!"
Apparently, all of the cops were howling with laughter!
All due respect to those Police riders today - very well marshalled and the way they throw those Pans about - belting riders

Bloody hell Rhino did you have to take a picture just when I had stuffed my gob with the sausage sandwich?

It was a good event and I felt good about it. Some peeps gave me about a dozen new toys to take and a few fluffy things and friends gave me ?64 to hand in as well. Big thanks to them. The smiles from the public was a buzz. BIRD turn out was not great and I hope next year we can put on a good show. These kids have nothing and it shows the biking community in a good light. We are not all petrolheads, speedsters and public menaces.

stan the man

you are not capable
looks like a great time was had by all that attended.couldn't make it this year, but maybe next year.Used to hold toy runs down here in S.Wales back in the 70's and 80's which were incorporated in the M.A.G. runs....and used to get upwards of 5000 turn up from all over with teddies etc for local charities, but for some reason they stopped.
as was mentioned earlier, why not hold these events in the summer when i'm sure the turnout would be ten-fold
and greatly increase donations.
again, well done to all those who attended
