Hi guys... Here is the Itinery for the weekend we have planned for the may Bash meeting

Friday...

You can arrive anytime after 1200hrs and get registered, and you camping set up...Friday evening, there is a chili/curry meal with a few quiches & salad for those not liking the hot stuff...A disco is booked for the whole event, so dancing & general merrymaking is thought to be on the cards

Saturday...

Brekkie first, then a 1030 (PROMPT) start for the ride out to Shropshire, central Wales, and Herfordshire. Fag break at Newtown, then lunch (one hour) at the Elan Valley visitors centre (who are doing us cheaper drinks & stickies as a favour)Then off to the top of the Clee hills for a cuppa & a fag(if you have enough oxygen to light it- beautiful views. Then back to the campsite for teatime & a disco & Karaoke comptetion in the evening...

Sunday...

Sunday morning will get going when we get up after brekkie there will be a Bungee running competion, and a mini moto racing competition. We will leave the site at approximately 1300hrs with a nice half hours "B" road run to RAF Cosford museum where we have guides booked for a tour of the Museum & also the Cold War museum (make your choice when there) This is included in the price of the Bash...

We will then return to the campsite at about 1730 to 1800 where you will be free to cook your own food, or go to one of the three pubs around the site, or use the "Chinese chippy" in the village. After tea there will be again a disco in the evening, and also the charity auction (Sorry, but Celebrity auctioneer is yet to be confirmed )

Afrter that, prizes will be awarded for the various comptetions, and also a prize for the best & worst presented bike at the meeting, and also for the longest travelled to get there (possibly one of the Swedish group- or maybe even Russ fae Fyvie, dependant on the mileage done :dunno:)

Monday...

Time to pack up, and say goodbye to all our friends (if we still have any after all the drinking...LOL) Take the piccys of the group at the campsite, and do a bit of cleaning up of the site... (Any volunteers will be greatfully welcomed)

Hope that helps you all out in planning your weekend..

Not long now.....See ya soon guys,

Best wishes,

Rolfy & Jan

Sorry peeps... I forgot to say...

If you aint going on the rideout on Saturday, you have the following places to visit...

Severn Valley railway (steam power) You can go from either Bridgnorth or Kidderminster stations, and is a lovely day oot

West midland safari park (Bewdley) does wot it says on the tin :-:

Dudmaston hall (near the campsite)

Kidderminster & Bridgnorth both have good markets on a Saturday...

Historic Bewdley is a nice small town on the rivier Severn with lots of little shops & alleyways to explore.

If you want shopping till ya droppping there is the Merry Hill shopping centre near Stourbridge.

Or Shrewsbury is only 1/2 hours drive and a fabulous place to visit.

The choices are endless

Or you could even go directly to the Elan Valley & meet us for lunch (a lovely drive, with the bonus that you may just meet some lovely biking peeps :-:)

Best wishes,

Dave n Jan

Daft question, but is there on-site beer? Or will we need to do a run to the off licence once the bike is unpacked?

Ray, you obviously dont know me very well :dunno:

There are two bars on-site, and three pubs within 100yards of the campsite, and a well stocked supermarket about the same distance....

Beer will flow in abundance (until it runs out- then we may go down the offy)

See ya in a few days.

Cheers,

Rolfy

Likewise mate, to be honest I can't remember half the people I said hello to so to anyone I missed 'Hello' I will try to remain sober for a bit longer next time.

Bluey I don't know if I spoke to you either mate if I didn't then I apologise mate.

By the way if anyone finds a brown Egyptian cotton towel it's ours it went missing when our tent collapsed I don't know if it blew away or what but it's part of a set & it's brothers & sisters are missing it.

We didn't make it..

Well, I don't know exactly where to post this, so I'll give it a try here.
Sorry but we didn't make it, due to the strike in France.:dunno:
There were no Ferry's sailing out, and as result the Eurotunnel was fully booked.
We already had the ferry tickets booked in advance, as well as the hotel (wich was payed for in advance as well sh1tehppns .
There was just no way we could make it to your event, unless we started our journey on saturday morning, but this would be a bit late to take part in the ride out, wouldn't it?
Sad, but what could we do? Perhaps better luck next year?
Hope you all had a good time.

Absolutely gutted to hear this Roland...

The bloody French strike again (and again, and again...LOL):bang:

We are happy to refund your bash fees... Just send us yourt full name & address, and we will get the money sent back to you mate...

By the sounds of tonight, it looks like we will be doing this again next year, so we could of course just book you straight in for the next on...LOL

Let us know either way, and sorry you missed what ended up being an excellent weekend.

Hopefully see you next year,

Best wishes,

Dave & Jan
