Hello

Jim here and have just purchased a Super Blackbird, 2000 W reg in black. Looking forward to my first year of taking her around the Alps. (Pictures to follow)

I just want to know is there an alternative to wingracks for the blackbird, not into the scaffolding that is the wingrack

Sw Motech do a rack for panniers which you can get from Jaws spares!!!
Much less cumbersome than the Givi....

Wingracks are pig ugly. I fitted an SW Motech rear rack on my ZZR1400 a few years ago - and it was rubbish. It might not be as bad on a BB but on the ZZR I had to "lose" the rear grab handle - which really p'd the wife off. and I had to fit a plastic Givi top-plate to the rack and it felt really flimsy when compared to Givi stuff.
The best option I found on my VFR800 was a Givi rack set which had a really heavy duty rear-top section and plate, and then the "side racks" were no more that a rectangle of 8mm steel rod - fitted between the top rack and the rear footrest. Really strong and did not look bad when the boxes were removed.....

the wing rack is the best system out there, strong and fail safe.

with the lighting kit total visibility from behind. 11 years on the bike. With luggage liners, travel is convenient with room for two.
