Luggage Racks (New Concept)

I have one (side brackets ) they are very good, quick & easy to remove.
The down side is you have to remove the grab rail but if you just want the side racks I have found a way of retaining the grab rail & renntec sports rack, but if you go for the SW top box rack as well you have to omit the g/rail.

Thanks for all the replies, it looks like I'll be speaking to 1200pete in the near future.

Jono - I use the same (Givi) top box on two different bikes and it is rock solid on one but wobbles on the other. I stopped this by sticking a small piece of rubber on top of the gromits as there is no other means of adjustment on the plate. It is only about 1mm thick but sorts the problem out.

BTW you should check the catch that the box locks into I had a new one where the moulding was a bit dodgy and it appeared to lock on ok but the box would fall off at the first bump.

i am also interested in the rack, i thought the grab rail is retained if you only get the pannier brackets?

That's correct, if you are fitting a top box the plate is quite low so you have to loose the grab rail.
I got mine from 1200Pete the other day - will fit it sometime this week.

I'll see if I can take some pics when I do it. The interesting bit for me is going to be the bracket that goes across at the back by the number plate I have a scottoiler tank there?

i emailed 1200pete for a price, 100pounds(symbol doesn't work on my keyboard)just for the sides, no top bracket.

i have a scottoiler tank behind numberplate as well, it looks like it will need to be lowered....starting to look like more work than i can handle!:dunno:
