not sure if something is being commemorated somewhere today as we have had lots of WW2 stuff going over...three Dakotas in very close formation went over at about 500 feet while we were driving past Beachy Head, since then two Spitfires, a Martin Marauder and, most unusually, I think a Lysander.

All bar the Lysander has DDay markings, the anniversary is not until next week.
