As you know I am no lover of the plod & wont phone them for anything, added to that I don't see why they should put themselves at risk dealing with these idiots, the job is hard enough without that's sort of risk
Given the potential risk that coppers are exposed to when dealing with the halfwits who don't think the rules apply to them, I'm quite happy for them to deploy tasers to get the message across. (y):D

There would be a lot of people around here having a little lie down if they did :D

What level of “risk” do you mean? The most recent research indicates that the level of infection in the world’s population is at least ten times
higher than expected (and sometimes 100s of times higher). In the UK, recent investigations have predicted that 25% of the UK population has
been infected to-date and it’s also emerged that the virus had spread much faster and much earlier than any of the world’s governments had realised.

From the evidence, it’s easy to speculate that it’s almost inevitable that, as with the common cold or seasonal flu, most of the people in the world
will contract the virus - with differing levels of severity - at some point in their lives. However, far from the 3.4% fatality rate predicted by the WHO
back in February, or the 1% used by the Imperial Model, all the serological studies done to this point average out at about 0.2%.

I see where you’re coming from. However, the police are paid to do what they do. ‘Grassing’ doesn’t sit well with me either but given the potential of what this virus can do, if I saw a BBQ with that amount of people, I’d put a call in, too.*

*I have to say ‘potential’ regarding the virus because to some, it’s no more inconvenient than a mild cold but it’s been really spoiling others’ days.

I do agree but the wider issue is that if one person is Covid19 infected they infect potentially the other nineteen and so it goes on.

A couple of cans of tear gas should do the job.

Ah! A new infection rate, coupled with an assumption that none of the others have previously been infected by the virus.

Tear gas the lot of 'em - kids an' all, eh?

"Potentially"is the word, you ignore in my post.

And........ 'Yes' to the second sentence.

There is another point I would make but I don't need a lecture today.

Oh.

Just asked in view of your expressed preference for "expert" guidance.

Chief Medical Officer not good enough for you?

Can't help thinking that if there isn't another dreaded 'spike' it will be because of the nature of the virus rather than everyone doing the right thing.

Well done.

I never, ever thought I'd say that to "Mr Beaker".

(Thinks: Why dunt he change his moniker to "Jasper Carrott"?)
