Has anyone else had one of these e-mails sent direct to them? I checked the link and it is the members list page and not related to any threads or posts.

Hi,

I saw your message on:
http://www.superblackbird.co.uk/circlescotland.html
and thought you might be interested in a new website called LocalNotices.co.uk

LocalNotices.co.uk is a online noticeboard facility aimed at the local community. It allows local people to pin notices on to their town/city's noticeboard.

As well as pinning your notice up I thought it might be useful for posting local events, small ads or looking for volunteers. We are also very interested in hearing about your stories and perhaps even interviews with your local heros!

Just think of the website as the noticeboard at your local corner shop or supermarket, except people both your local community and thousands of people across the country can see it!

Also, we are giving away the chance to win a digital camera from Sony, just for pinning a notice on the site

Look forward to seeing your notices on the website.

Regards,
Steve

Yep, it's happened to me....

You'd think that they would have read that I'm in NZ c7u8 c7u8 - it was on the line above my email address on the wheel alignment article which is where they got it from!

How are you Skip? Long time no hear!

Cheers

them last night ;

I am interested in which post you are refering to as your link is only to our membership list page. Why would this be of interest to my local community, considering that your website is incapable of recognising my home town as even existing perhaps you can tell me how I could post mesages on a board which does not seem to be there or are you just aggreesivley searching forum membership list to promote your own ends or am I just being realistic?

Their reply;

If your town is not listed, please use the city suggestion link to suggest the town. We are adding to our database daily.

I wouldn't know if I got this, as, if I don't recognize the senders name or expect an email with the subject content obvious and relevant I don't even bother opening it, straight in to the bin and dumped, I may lose a "few" that I should open, but if its important the sender will try and contact me again in some other way, I know its not foolproof ,but I still have issues with norton :bang: so don't trust them either.

can we get a "smiley" wanker put on as an option ??? Id put it on every time I used the word norton
