As you hate cycling and cyclists I suggest you f**k right off and stop basking in the reflected glory of the young Mr Pidcock.
I hate road cycling & ignorant road cyclists, I have a Mountain bike that has never been on the road, plenty of places to ride without pissing off proper motorists.

In that case you may wish to know that Tom Pidcock is a road cyclist with Ineos who has won and come second in 2 1-day classics this year. He has also been U-23 World Champion in Cyclo Cross and Time Trial and won the Junior version of Paris-Roubaix. My original comment still stands. I assume you don't count yourself as a proper motorist as you drive a Dacia.

I forgot to mention the only places you can ride a mountain bike off-road (unless you're a landowner) is on bridleways where you will be pissing-off pedestrians and scaring horses.

He did not win his Gold on the road..
I am a land owner, I also visit Rabbit ings which has very wide paths plus off road paths which pedestrians don’t use.
Why would I not be a proper motorist because I drive a Dacia? Very weak retort Steve, expect much better from you.

It doesn't matter where he won it. He is predominantly a road cyclist now and off-road is a bit of variety for him. I agree with you about the Dacia retort - piss poor and I'm ashamed to get drawn into the childish exchanges on here that have gone off between you and a certain BMW owner.

You could always lobby them to try and make it a mountain bike leg instead of road. Unfortunately triathlon is now spoiled as the riders are allowed to draft (or is it draught?) the rider in front thereby gaining a slipstream advantage. I'm off to bed now so I won't be continuing this riveting discussion until tomorrow lunchtime at least. Night night.

Don’t let the facts get in the way, it’s not worth it and is frankly a waste of time.

Well done Tom Pidcock.

For doing his cycling in another country.

Now, if only we could encourage the other lycra clad losers to do the same.
I believe there are still mine fields that need clearing in various parts of the world, what better way to solve two problems at once!
